AUDITION - The Royal Danish Theatre is looking for 3 new members
in the following voice groups:
2nd Soprano 2nd Alto 2nd Tenor
The Royal Danish Theatre is Denmark’s national company, presenting opera, ballet, theatre and symphonic music. Situated in its world class facility overlooking the harbour of Copenhagen, the Royal Opera is home to the unrepeatable, live, shared experience of music and drama. As an integrated part of the Royal Danish Theatre, we are devoted to audiences across Denmark. We welcome artists and ideas from around the world, while developing the best Danish artists and craftspeople, and act as an export of Denmark to the world.
The Royal Danish Opera Chorus consists of 40 full-time singers who play a vital role in the Theatre’s busy season, performing a wide range of repertoire. We are seeking highly skilled performers with a good working level of English. Members of the Chorus have the possibility of performing small roles throughout the season.
Pay and conditions are determined in accordance with relevant union agreement.

Applicants invited to the final audition round will be notified by 13 March, 2020.
◾Minimum three (3) arias of own choice, one of which must be by Mozart or Händel
◾Two chorus excerpts (material will be provided upon invitation to the final round)
Arias and chorus excerpts are to be performed from memory.
Auditions will be held on 28 March 2020 (2nd Alto and 2nd Tenor), 1 April 2020 (2nd Soprano), and will take place at the Royal Danish Opera, Ekvipagemestervej 10, 1438 Copenhagen.
