Royal Danish Opera Chorus
1 First Alto, 1 Second Alto
1 First Tenors
1 First Bass
The Royal Danish Theatre is Denmark’s national company, presenting opera, ballet, theatre and symphonic music. Situated in its world class facility overlooking the harbor: of Copenhagen, the Royal Opera is an artistic family with a strong collective ethos and a home for large-scale lyric theatre and symphonic music; the unrepeatable, live, shared experience of music and drama. As an integrated part of the Royal Danish Theatre, we are devoted to audiences across Denmark. We welcome artists and ideas from around the world, while developing the best Danish artists and craftspeople, and act as an export of Denmark to the world.
The Royal Danish Opera Chorus consists of 40 full-time singers who play a vital role in the busy opera company season, performing a wide range of repertoire. We are seeking four highly skilled performers with a working level of English. Members of the Chorus also have the possibility to audition for small roles throughout the season.
Pay and conditions to be determined in accordance with relevant union agreement.

Applications will only be accepted through the link above and no late submissions will be considered. Applicants must attach a CV and audio or video clips of 2 contrasting arias, uploaded to Youtube (please provide us with the links). Applicants invited to the final audition round will be notified by April 8th.
1. Three arias (minimum) of own choice, one of which must be by Mozart or Händel
2. Two chorus excerpts (details will be provided upon invitation to the audition)
3. Sight reading
Arias and chorus excerpts must be performed from memory.
Auditions will be held on April 23rd and May 3rd 2019, and will take place at the Royal Danish Opera, Ekvipagemestervej 10, 1438 Copenhagen.
